How To Change Your Settings When Starting Path Of Exile On PS5 Pro? - 6 Tips
If you're looking to re-experience your Path Of Exile adventure on the latest PS5 Pro, you'll want to set up your device for the best experience before you begin!
Exiles, if you’re a console player looking for higher FPS and have the budget for extra electronics, you might want to try re-experiencing your Path Of Exile adventure on the latest PS5 Pro, where the new graphics and visual experience brought by the high-performance device may make you feel that the game is brand new!
But before you start playing, you need to change a few settings to ensure that you get the best image quality and performance from your new system.
1. Enhanced Image Quality
First of all, the first setting is for enhanced image quality for PS4 games, which you obviously want to enable. This takes advantage of the extra power of PS5 Pro to push PS4 games to maximum resolution and detail levels. After testing it with multiple games, we found that there is definitely a noticeable difference between turning it on and off, so it’s strange that it is turned off by default. Especially when running dungeons, the difference between turning it off and on is particularly obvious. You don’t want to be affected by it in the critical moment of killing bosses or farming POE Currency, right?
2. Allow 8K Output
For setting two, that is to allow 8K output. To be honest, most of us probably don’t have an 8K TV, but for those who do, this will allow games that support 8K to truly output in 8K. Currently, this includes games like Gran Turismo 7 and No Man’s Sky in addition to Path Of Exile.
3. Enable 8K Screenshots
Again, the next setting is under Capture and Broadcast, then Screenshot Format, which is used to enable 8K screenshots. Although it will take up more storage space, if you can enable this feature, then why not, so that the quality of your in-game photos will be incredible, after all, Pro does have 2TB of storage space. You can also choose to store them at full resolution in the virtual photography section, so you may find it useful!
4. Turn On Low Latency Mode
Going back to the screen and video options, the next settings are just to make sure that you have VRR, 120HZ output, and Auto Low Latency Mode enabled if your TV supports them, as these will allow your PS5 Pro to give you a much smoother gaming experience than it currently has.
5. Apply VRR
The next setting is still related to these, and is used to enable the option to apply VRR to unsupported games, as it will smooth out any potential frame drops in games that don’t support the feature.
6. Change Game Presets
After moving away from the screen and video settings, turn your eyes to the settings located under Saved Data and Game/App Settings, then Game Presets, which are used to change your preferred mode to Performance Mode. This is simply because Pro is usually able to run Performance Mode at the same visual fidelity as the regular resolution mode, so it is necessary to ensure that you can always experience a beautiful 4K 60 FPS gaming experience.
In conclusion, I highly recommend changing them for the best overall POE experience, as even on your PS5 Pro, they will be set wrong by default.
