Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0 Performance Issues And Boring Endgame | Why Are Players So Frustrated?

Path of Exile 2's recently launched Act 4 has been incredibly exciting for players, with many new gameplay features garnering praise. For demolition enthusiasts in particular, Path of Exile 2's early endgame maps are a true paradise.

The game's new trading system is also quite appealing, allowing players to create powerful builds through various combinations to complete some endgame maps. However, while players are immersed in the game, they've also discovered a number of unsatisfactory issues.

Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0 Performance Lssues And Boring Endgame | Why Are Players So Frustrated?

Poor Performance And Frequent Lag

Path of Exile 2's endgame is determined by completing Atlas. Players unlock maps, earning rewards such as POE 2 currency and gradually leveling up. These maps have modifiers that change their difficulty as you progress. As players progress through the maps, the modifiers accumulate, inevitably leading to a decline in performance.

Perhaps due to issues with the game's mechanics, driver issues, or something else entirely, Path of Exile 2's performance after Update 0.3.0 has been significantly worse than in previous leagues.

There are also frequent stuttering issues during gameplay, though a stutter at the end of a game loop is considered a relatively minor issue. For players in the middle of a fierce battle, sudden stuttering, a return to the desktop, or even a black screen can be enough to drive them crazy.

Especially during boss fights that require powerful explosive attacks, such as the new Benedictus boss in Act 4, frequent stuttering can waste players' previous efforts and force them to pause their progress. This is a problem that wears down both patience and energy.

The Endgame Loop Is Also Unsatisfactory

In terms of gameplay content, Path of Exile 2's endgame loop is also somewhat lackluster. Some people will enjoy the gameplay of exploring and upgrading equipment while progressing through the map, which suits their preferred gameplay style, but for others, it can be a real pain.

Complex Crafting System

Path of Exile 2 0.3.0 introduces a completely revamped crafting system, where many crucial end-game equipment upgrades are made. However, this system is overly complex, requiring pre-collection of Omens, desecration, fracturing, and other operations, making it extremely unfriendly for beginners.

Perhaps, as players become familiar with the game and acquire sufficient powerful equipment, this crafting system will become popular. However, in the early stages, for players without powerful equipment and unfamiliar with the crafting system, the game is too difficult.

Therefore, it is recommended that the game's developers increase the chance of loot drops to foster player confidence and interest. After all, Path of Exile 2 is an ARPG centered around currency items.

Poor Tower Gameplay

The exploration gameplay in the first few endgame maps of Path of Exile 2 is also unsatisfactory.

Towers, a crucial feature that connects to more map areas and helps players plan their routes, are exhausting to find. This problem is exacerbated in the Tier 15 map areas. It's reasonable to suspect that the game developers deliberately set the encounter rate to be extremely low to prevent players from receiving rich loot rewards.

Endless Grinding Of Pinnacle Bosses

Furthermore, the endgame loop becomes boring because of the endless grinding required before defeating Pinnacle bosses. While the goal is to become stronger and defeat them, the process is excruciating, requiring players to spend countless hours repeating the same gameplay before finally reaching the true boss.

Choosing a new build for the endgame loop and trying out different builds and skill combinations is certainly fun. However, this type of gameplay has been explored numerous times by players since Path of Exile 2's launch, and it's no longer as fresh.

After this campaign rework, the developers still hoped this gameplay mechanic would attract players, but the effect has naturally declined significantly. This type of gameplay no longer provides players with much enjoyment.

I hope the developers can address the game's issues, improve its shortcomings, and listen to player feedback to make Path of Exile 2 even better.

Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0, released on August 29th, adds new league mechanics, characters, and new items to Rise of the Abyssals, significantly enriching the player experience. Among these new mechanics, the most notable is the introduction of Desecrated Crafting. Let's explore its mechanics and functions in this article.Path Of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0 Desecrated Crafting: How To Perform? | Mechanics & Functions

1. Crafting Process

Desecrated Crafting involves players acquiring Abyssal Currencies in Abyssal Fissures, converting them into Desecrated items, and then bringing them to Well of Souls to activate them.

Abyssal Fissures

First, you need to find Abyssal Fissures. Players can find them in every area. They attract nearby monsters and grant them some Abyssal Energy. Defeating them closes Fissure, opening a larger Abyssal.

Players will then face new monsters in the new Abyssal, which are naturally more powerful. Defeating all monsters not only closes Abyssal but also grants rich rewards, such as Abyssal Currencies, POE 2 Currency, and other rare items.

Abyssal Currencies

Abyssal Currencies are part of Desecrated Crafting and are also known as Abyssal Bones. Players can obtain Abyssal Currencies by completing challenges or defeating monsters and bosses within Abyssal. They can also be obtained by looting treasure chests.

Abyssal Bones come in several types: Jawbones, Ribs, and Collarbones. Next, they have three qualities that determine their use: Gnawed Bones, Preserved Bones, and Ancient Bones. Abyssal Bones can be applied to items such as weapons and quivers, armor and amulets, rings and belts.

Gnawed Bones can only be used on items level 64 or lower. They are common and can be found as drops in Fissures.

Preserved Bones are used for items without level restrictions and can be obtained by defeating monsters or treasure chests in larger Abyssal regions.

Ancient Bones have the same use as Preserved Bones, but are rarer and require defeating certain Abyssal bosses.

Finally, players can use Abyssal Currencies obtained from Abyssal Fissures on regular items to convert them into Desecrated items.

Well Of Souls

Finally, find Well of Souls to activate Desecrated items. Players must create a character in Rise of the Abyssal league and enter Act 2.

Go to Mastodon Badlands, find Lightless Passage, and follow it until it reaches the end. You'll find the entrance to Well of Souls. It's typically located in the southwest of the area and is marked by a giant tusk.

Players will receive Desecrated items and place them in a container within Well. Clicking a button will reveal three modifiers for you to choose from. Selecting one of these modifiers will activate a ritual to permanently increase the item's level.

2. Function And Summary

The above steps are Desecrated crafting process. It makes basic items more durable, helping players increase their combat power and allowing them to upgrade more quickly, enriching the gameplay experience.

The mechanics introduced in Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3.0 not only continue Abyssal storyline from the previous game, but also add new content. Most importantly, this mechanic allows you to have greater control over upgrading your gear and adding modifiers throughout the game, which is crucial for a game focused on improving combat power and character level.

Path Of Exile 2 Shark Fin: How To Effectively Use?

Path Of Exile 2 has added some new and challenging levels. To diversify player's challenges, several side quests have been added to Act 4, including Tribal Medicine quest, where players can earn generous rewards by completing these challenges.

It's worth noting that these rewards require use of a Shark Fin, so this guide will explain how.Path Of Exile 2 Shark Fin: How To Effectively Use?

1. Obtaining Shark Fin

To unlock Tribal Medicine side quest, you first need to obtain a key item--Shark Fin. This item comes from Great White One boss encountered on Whakapanu Island in Act 4. Defeating it will grant you Shark Fin. Note that this boss is a melee-focused enemy, so you may want to spend some PoE 2 Currency to enhance your defenses.

So, where can players encounter Great White One? To do this, we need to use in-game map. Open it and you'll find an area called Shark Pit. Since boss, Great White One, won't appear immediately, players will need to carefully explore the area, or carefully observe certain water areas until Great White One passes through.

A side note: After defeating Great White One during mission, Shark Fin will drop, but its exact location may be difficult to find. This requires help of Sifrila, a character encountered in a previous mission. Without any quests, she will lead players to Shark Fin and quickly complete mysterious Tribal Medicine side quest.

2. Using Shark Fin

After successfully completing Tribal Medicine challenge and obtaining key item, Shark Fin, players will need to bring it with them to Ngakanu Island. However, before heading to Ngakanu Island, players must visit Whakapanu Island to obtain a weapon fragment required for the main quest. This fragment is located behind boss known as Diamora Song of Deep.

Finally, players must find Ngakanu Island on the map, located directly south of Kingsmarch. They will then proceed there with their acquired items. Upon arrival, players will not engage in any combat. Instead, they will search for Kaimana. Once they find her, they will simply speak with her to complete quest. The quest instructions will then appear above her head.

After a few words with her, they will give her Shark Fin obtained in a previous quest. She will then prepare a medicine. While medicine will not be obtained, they will receive an important item needed for a subsequent quest.

The following rewards are available, and players can choose one based on their needs:

  • Uncut Level 11 Skill Gem
  • Uncut Level 11 Spirit Gem
  • Uncut Level 4 Support Gem

Players can choose a reward based on their needs for subsequent missions. If you want to further enhance your skills in subsequent missions, you can choose an Uncut Level 11 Skill Gem, which will increase your damage in subsequent missions. In short, choice depends on your needs.

Path Of Exile 2 The Third Edict Of Patch 0.3.0 Brings Improvements To Enhance The Player Experience - Act IV, Sprint, Rise Of The Abyssals And More

After eight months of early access, Path Of Exile 2 is about to get another major content update, specifically the introduction of The Third Edict.

According to the information currently available, The Third Edict is expected to be released on August 29. It aims to solve the pain points that players have always had and make the player's gaming experience smoother and richer.

Based on this, this article will introduce you to the improvements that The Third Edict will bring to the game, and how these improvements will enhance the player's gaming experience.Path Of Exile 2 The Third Edict Of Patch 0.3.0 Brings Improvements To Enhance The Player Experience - Act IV, Sprint, Rise Of The Abyssals And More

Act IV

One of the core highlights of The Third Edict is the addition of Act IV, which takes players to Polynesian-inspired Ngamakunui archipelago, where there are eight islands waiting for players to explore, and new bosses and challenges will provide players with a brand new adventure experience.

In addition, to simplify the player's clearance process, the game also introduces Interlude. Players will no longer need to repeatedly challenge the first few scenes to enter the game's endgame, and can explore at their own pace and according to their own interests.

However, it should be noted that these Interludes are temporary and maybe will be removed with the release of Act V.

Sprint

Another important change is that all classes will gain sprint mechanism. Specifically, after the class completes the dodge-roll, the player can hold down the dodge-roll button to enter the sprint state, gaining a significant increase in movement speed.

This ability not only allows players with good gaming skills to complete the campaign faster, but also helps novice players escape enemy pursuit more easily when they encounter difficulties.

However, for players with average gaming skills, blindly using this ability will not actually bring them any benefits. Instead, it will cause them to miss out on XP and poe 2 currency from roadside chests, making it difficult to upgrade their class and even making it impossible to complete the subsequent content of the game.

In addition, it should be noted that the class in sprint state will be temporarily stunned due to injury, which increases the risk in combat, and players need to use this mechanism more cautiously.

Rise Of The Abyssals

Along with the release of The Third Edict, Path of Exile 2 will also be getting a new mechanic called Rise of the Abyssal. This new mechanic will make players encounter fissures that will continuously spawn new monsters in the campaign and endgame.

Defeating these monsters and closing the fissures will net the player rich rewards, including the ability to add new affixes to items and the classes themselves.

In short, this mechanism not only provides players with new challenges and brings rich rewards, but also encourages players to continue playing the game while completing the main quest, thereby increasing the playability and depth of the game.

Builds

The final, highly anticipated change is a comprehensive overhaul of builds in the game, designed to give players greater freedom in their gear and character builds by expanding build options and enhancing underutilized skills.

For example, players will no longer be restricted to only being able to insert one Support Gems into a slot. The new changes allow players to insert Support Gems into multiple slots, providing more build options for the character.

In addition, the game will also add a new rare Support Gems, Lineage Supports, which can provide players with powerful skill enhancements. Players can obtain these gems from specific bosses.

In short, The Third Edict brings many updates to Path Of Exile 2, and these updates are designed to enhance the player's gaming experience and address the player's demand for game depth.
